A Lot 2 Offer
Monkey Story

What’s up with the Monkeys?

For those of you who have never been to A Lot 2 Offer’s facility, you will be greeted by 3 monkey’s when you come in the door, (and we’re not necessarily talking about the 3 owners) but the “three wise monkeys” statue.   It represents the three owners (consumers) and their message.

What is the significance behind the monkeys?

It is important to point out that historically the three monkeys have various orders which may have subtly changed the interpretation and potential meaning.

Most commonly the order is quoted as “Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil, See No Evil”, however; the three monkeys has evolved and developed around “see no evil, hear no evil, and speak no evil”, represented by the three monkeys; one covering his eyes, one covering his ears and one covering his mouth. The original source of the fable is likely Chinese in origin from a Confucius phrase: “Look not at what is contrary to propriety; listen not to what is contrary to propriety; speak not what is contrary to propriety;

So why use the depiction of the Three Wise Monkeys?

It literally translates as “don’t see, don’t hear, and don’t speak”.  As to the exact meaning of the phrase it is an interpretation the owners feel symbolizes the “old” way of conducting vehicle transactions.

 “If we do not allow “evil” to speak to us, e.g. influence us (hear no evil), if we do not allow those evil acts that we see to change us (see no evil) if we do not perpetuate the evil that we are exposed to (speak no evil) then it will have no power over us”.

A Lot 2 Offer empowers consumers to take control - make wise decisions, with wise options and not allowing evil influenced by fear of conducting our own transactions! We see crimes committed daily but we will be wise, safe and secure.  Be safe, be smart and be aware!
